Feb 08 - New Warehouse Expansion
We are pleased to announce an expansion in warehousing & storage facilities within Swindon. We have recently acquired a further 38,000 sq ft to give ourselves 60,000 sq ft of warehousing & storage facilities in order to reduce the time taken in transferring equipment between supplier and consumer. We can ship and hold equipment ready for deployment and carry out pre build on products where possible.
June 07 - Mobile PDA Data Collection Deployed
SJ Harris have recently invested in a state of the art Mobile Field Solution which has been deployed across our teams within the business to enable us to work closer with both our customers and staff. We are constantly looking at ways to overcome the countless challenges facing our business and look at ways to improve the high level of service that is expected from our customers. This has increased our level of visibility for our clients and our customers frequently comment that has given them added visibility in what we do, whilst enabling us to achieve a competitive difference within the sector in which we operate.
The benefits of implementing a mobile data collection solution across our business includes cutting down on paperwork, improved productivity, and faster response times. Our mobile solution can capture digital signatures onsite allowing proof of service and material data to be collected and an audit trail created.
Work plans/tasks are sent wirelessly to field engineers and they can resend completed work and any other required data.
Once our field staff have completed work on site this information is collected and transferred to our central site for storage and it enables our customers to access to this data from any location.
